Overview
You will become the manager of a food court competing against other food court managers to attract the most customers with food from various cuisines around the world. If you attract the most customers, achieve the most points at the end of the game, you win.
On setup, place the market board in the centre and place 2 cards on the Special Chefs Card spot beside the Chef for Hire. Next, place 5 Food Stall Decks and Cards on the market. This is a combination of 5 Culture Cards (different countries) and Food Stall Cards.
To start, each player receives a dashboard with 9 stall spaces. On each empty space, place one coin. Once activated, e.g., you roll that number, you collect that coin.
On your turn, you have three phases:
- Foodie Visit– roll the dice to see which Foodie stall you will visit on your dashboard. On your visit, collect the number of coins and moved the number of tokens (stars) along the popularity track. If you don’t have a card on your dashboard, you may use one of your Flyer Tokens to visit another empty space. The purpose being is that you want to try and align Food Stall Cards to get a matching star. Each Food Stall Card has half a star on the edge.
- Acquire New Stall – If you have enough money you can buy a Food Stall Card from the Market. This can be used to fill a space or to replace a Food Stall Card. Each Food Stall Card, gives different coin rewards and star token awards, so you need to constantly think how can I get the most popularity points to win the game.
- Hire Chefs – Once per turn, you may hire a Chef which will help with your popularity points. The market board is where you move your token along the popularity track.
